I strive to live a life without fear. I am a poet by nature. I am a performer because I must speak.
I am a mother by fortune.
So far, one tool that I have found to be most useful in balancing myself is called Social Artistry. I am a student of this art, pioneered by Dr, Jean Houston and taught by Janet Sanders. This work, which I travel and teach, now is a toolkit for self awareness and discovery that has helped me to manage and overcome depression.
In my life, I have found that fear is the thief of joy. In order to live a life more full of joy, I make it my habit to rule out fear when ever consciously possible. Of course, I am human. There are times when I have not even realized that fear has crept in and changed me. I never like the change that it brings. There have also been times when the complete lack of fear has left me sitting flat on my behind wondering "How could I have made such a gargantuan mistake?". Yes, I guess it be's that way sometimes. The good thing is that life affords us the opportunity to grow through our mistakes, make amends, release our pain and move on. (I am currently working through each part of this process :-)
I am a work of art. As such, I am divinely inspired. I am no stranger to mistakes. I started off a bit messy. Some how through the process though, something beautiful, purposeful and necessary has begun to shine through.
There will be times when this beautiful happening is demonstrated in my words. There will be other times when it is demonstrated in a recipe that I post. There will be events, features, and the occasional intellectual discourse on issues that affect us Humans. The great thing about it is, that because we are all so divinely connected, much of what I share with you will be relatable. Sometimes funny (in my dry humor, almost not funny sort of way). Sometimes very serious as I explore the possibilities of how this world can be better because you and I are here and capable of making change. Sometimes heart warming, especially when I tell you about my children. Sometimes just necessary because you have played around on the internet so long that dinner is late and you need a quick recipe.
How ever it is that we connect, my hope is that it is a benefit to you and to me.
Thank you for visiting me.
I look forward to your commentary, and our connection.
Peace, Love and Happyness!
